According to ISO 9001:2001 Quality Assurance System implemented and maintained by KMK, each translated text is subject to proofreading by translator and proof-reader. In addition, before the translation process is started, each document is carefully analysed in terms of its subject-matter and assigned to the best-choice translator. As a rule, technical records include various types of visual aids (drawings and diagrams, etc.). KMK offers (optional) typesetting services as well as graphic processing of translated texts.
Polish legislation requires that user manuals in Polish are to be enclosed to all devices and machines marketed in Poland. Similar requirements are also included in the new Machinery Directive, which established, in particular, rules on the translation of user manuals (implemented on 29 December 2009). Annex 1, Section 1.7.4. reads as follows: “All machinery must be accompanied by instructions in the Official Community language or languages of the Member State in which it is placed on the market and/or put into service.”
