As per Regulation No. 305/2011, starting from 1 July 2013, construction materials (concrete, mortar, adhesives, boards, etc.) in the European Union have to comply with conditions for placing on the market. The regulation (Directive No. 305/2011), known as CPR (Construction Products Regulation), replaced the Construction Products Directive 89/106/EEC, which had been the standard until then.
Directive 305/2011 lays down the obligation to perform technical assessment of every product and to issue a declaration of performance pertaining to the product’s intended use. Declaration of performance has to include information about the product’s properties along with recommendations for use.
